\nElegant British-made theater spotlight\/projector – Strand Rank – type “Egg Shape” from the 1950s mounted on an adjustable wooden tripod converted into a beautiful home\/office lamp with a unique design.
\nImagined by aircraft designer Morgan McLeod and manufactured in England in the 1950s, it was the first to be mass-produced in aluminum.<\/p>\n

This emblematic example of British design was made by The Strand Lighting Company in their Covent Garden workshops in London’s West End.<\/p>\n

A rare model that has been restored to give it a second life.
\nThe head has been stripped and polished to restore the shine of the chromed metal.<\/p>\n

The 500-watt lamp and bayonet have been removed and replaced by an ordinary screw-in bayonet that takes ordinary household bulbs or energy savers.<\/p>\n

New black vintage woven cotton wiring was also installed with a grounded on\/off switch.<\/p>\n

A wonderful piece of British theater history in your home or office.<\/p>\n
