We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare original pair of Japanese Meiji bronze candlestick holders wrapped with dragons circa 1870<\/p>\n

A lovely decorative pair, each mounted on wooded plinths with wax sealed bolts attaching the main bronze body, the dragons are beautifully sculpted and really very stunning to look at<\/p>\n

The style and size is more in keeping with urns but they have the hole at the top for candles which is a lovely touch<\/p>\n

The condition is excellent, they sit almost straight, each has a slight tilt, the base’s are solid and free from cracks, they have been waxed and polished and that’s it<\/p>\n

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade<\/p>\n

Courier (Large Items Only That Can’t Be Posted)<\/p>\n

We can arrange delivery nationwide, mostly with Wimbledon couriers, for the very far North and South we use KDM couriers, for Europe we use Anyvan to find the cheapest quote, for the rest of the world it is location specific<\/p>\n

Whoever delivers will usually require some help on the larger items to unload, if this is not possible please let us know as it will affect the price to send a two man team<\/p>\n

Delivery is to the ground floor only, again if you need help upstairs or in flats etc that’s absolutely not a problem, the couriers charge £10 per flight per man per item, if you have a working elevator then naturally there’s no additional fee<\/p>\n

All courier fees are paid by yourself directly to the courier company, the contract for delivery is between yourselves the client and whichever courier you chose from those available<\/p>\n

I’m happy to accommodate your own courier after a cleared payment has been received, they need to book in a collection time with at least 24 hour’s notice, all collections must be made within 14 working days of the close of the auction unless agreed by prior arrangement<\/p>\n

International<\/p>\n

Delivery time can take two to three weeks depending on the courier’s routes for the above mentioned countries<\/p>\n
