British Sailor’s Woolwork of Four ships including two Royal Navy Ships,

The charming small sailor’s woolwork picture with a rare subject depicting a port side view of four ships coming into a Russian port. Two Royal Navy ships, a large second rate ship and a Royal Navy frigate, both flying a red ensign and a red banner from their mainmast, are sailing into port where a a Russian Navy ensign, also known as St. Andrew’s flag, is flying from a fort. Both ships have trapunto sails. In the foreground are two much smaller yachts flying the Russian Navy ensign of a blue cross on a white ground.<\/p>\n

The blue sea is calm and the sky cloudy.<\/p>\n

Now with Museum UV glass. All within a maple frame.<\/p>\n

Dimensions: 13 inches x 21 1\/4 inches wide x 3\/4 inches deep.<\/p>\n
