\nThis rare chandelier Uno & Osten Kristianson for Luxus is an exceptional piece for any collector or design lover. Made in Sweden, this light oak and glass chandelier is a remarkable example of modern Scandinavian design, identified by a clear and refined aesthetic. This luminaire is made up of four hanging lights, creating light and elegant lighting which can easily be integrated into a variety of interior decorations.<\/p>\n

The Uno & Östen Kristianson brothers have acquired international renown thanks to their production of lighting and mirrors, and are particularly active in Sweden between 1950 and 1970. Although there was little biographical information on the duo, their work is Highly estimated by fans of vintage design and is highly sought after on the collector’s market.<\/p>\n

Uno Kristianson was born in 1925 and Östen two years after him, in 1927. We know little about their education, but it is likely that they spent their youth in the south of Sweden. They undoubtedly learned the profession of their father, who headed his own furniture company (Vittsjö Furniture, founded in 1919 and appointed according to the Swedish village where it was located).<\/p>\n

In 1950, Uno Kristianson founded his own factory, Luxus, also located in Vittsjö. There are interior and exterior lamps, furniture and mirrors, all designed by the two brothers. Their collections were launched in Sweden and throughout Europe in 1950.<\/p>\n

In 1968, Luxus presented a collection of lamps with bright-colored lampshades that perfectly reflected the minds of the 1960s.
