Wonderful and rare Victorian paste set frame from the mid-late 19th century. An extraordinary and massive piece of “jewelry” for your tabletop.
Beautifully constructed of solid silvered brass with dozens of hand-cut paste stones with a bow topped motif. The stones are “mine cut” and set as closed back pastes which help to date to the period of the 19th century.
A pair of hinged pulls allow for open access to replace photos from the back. Lovely scrolled easel back. Extraordinary quality, weight and scale, UK, 1870s.
Excellent condition.
Measures: Height 16″, width 8.5″. Glass 12″ x 7.5″.
