Exceptional Studio Alchimia Arc-en-Ciel lamp, designed by Andrea Belossi in 1979. The Arc-en-Ciel lamp is a wonderful example of the postmodern lighting, designed by Andrea Belossi for Studio Alchimia. By Imitating a natural phenomenon it creates a spectacular rainbow in your home. The rainbow pattern is created by a prism that breaks the ray of the halogen bulb into spectral colors that are projected throughout the room. By turning the steel shades the position of the prism and therefore the position of the projection can be leveled up and down, a built-in dimmer allows to adjust light intensity. The entire lamp itself will become hot when in use The enamel steel shields become very hot and must not be touched when turned on to prevent injury. The lamp is in used but good condition showing minor wear and small chips to the marble. The prism is good condition & the lamp is fully functional as shown in the photos. The plug is for European standard and you may have to change it according to your standard or use a adapter. The lamp has a RS7 socket for standard 300 Watt halogen bulbs. Marked at the handle of the inner shade.
