A superb quality freestanding 19th century Kingwood and marquetry inlaid bureau, having a brass gallery running along the back and sides of the top, the shaped bureau fall below opening to reveal a green leather writing surface with blind and gilt tooling, three interior drawers and a well with further compartment space, shaped apron on the sides and front of the bureau, inlaid throughout with decorative floral marquetry incorporating birds, urns and flowers, standing on elegant cabriole legs. In fantastic condition and having a lovely warm golden colour, circa 1870.
