This is a very well made example of a steamer trunk designed to sit on the back of horse carts and later early cars, it has an oak frame and if upholstered in leather which has a super decorative studwork pattern all over, this chest or trunk is a work of art and looks interesting and important from every angle

This piece has an amazing patination that can only be achieved through honest age and genuine use

Condition is period, we have fully restored it to include washing back the original hide, its then been hand dyed six times, antiqued, waxed down and polished then sealed, it is now looking better than ever
