Stunning Extra Large Fine Antique French Country House Rug Carpet

I have a collection of 12 rugs I’m now listing for sale of all kinds of ages, periods, and sizes, some of them are really quite enormous, this sale is for the rug listed above, all others are listed under my other items

This piece is circa 1860-1880, hand made in France, it is nicely aged, the colours are even and haven’t really faded, the only point to tone is there are a couple of wear areas as you can just about see in the last picture, they are very small and hard to see in real life

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
