Vintage Design
This pendant lamp provides a comfortable, glare-free light based on the principle of Poul Henningsen’s reflective three-shade system, which directs the majority of the light downward. It shines sideways and on itself, providing a soft radiance from within its core. This edition consists of the color purple with white and blue accents.
Poul Henningsen, or PH, was a Danish architect and designer. The PH-5 lamp and the PH Artichoke are two design examples best known for the inventiveness of the construction and the diffuse light. His light fixtures were manufactured by Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen, a company with which Henningsen would build a lifelong working relationship.
