This incredible Victorian mahogany Queen dressing table was made circa 1860.
It would have been made to go into a Victorian mansion owned by a wealthy family. Only a family of supreme wealth could afford such pieces. It would have been part of a magnificent suite, that over the years been separated.
The swing full length mirror at the centre with the beautifully carved and pierced supports. Under the mirror is a newly upholstered foot rest.
To each side of the mirror are a pair of serpentine ends with a trinket drawer on the top and a serpentine drawer to each side of the kneehole.
It has a pair of carved and waisted columns at the front and a padded footrest joining the two stands.
Imagine using this superb Victorian mahogany Queen dressing table to dress at and use before going out on a special occasion.
In my 47 years of dealing, I cannot recall seeing another of this design
