Neoclassical, sterling silver gilt centrepiece, Gorham Manufacturing Co., Providence, Rhode Island, circa 1865. Dish is oval in form and has pendant handles that move. Stem is flanked by pilasters topped by busts. Greek key borders on dish and base. Monogrammed with what looks like an interlocking GAM. Measures 9 1/2 inches wide (across dish) x 6 1/4 inches deep at deepest point x 8 1/4 inches high. Weighs 23.646 troy ounces. Dark spots in photos are reflections. Excellent condition.
