Continental silver gilt (.835), Austro-Hungarian, Neoclassic-style, covered, footed, centerpiece bowl with cobalt blue glass liner,circa 1875. Arms are winged griffins, as are the footed, winged griffins that hold up the bowl. Piece stands on paw feet. Gilding is in excellent condition. Measures: 9 inches high to top of finial on lid x 7 1/2 inches across arms x 4 3/4 inches diameter at widest point; base is 3 1/2 inches x 31/2 square. Weighs 24 troy ounces. Dark areas in photos are reflections. In good antique condition.
