Uno Kristianson was born in 1925 and Östen two years after him, in 1927. We know little about their education, but it is likely that they spent their youth in the south of Sweden. They undoubtedly learned the profession of their father, who headed his own furniture company (Vittsjö Furniture, founded in 1919 and appointed according to the Swedish village where it was located).

In 1950, Uno Kristianson founded his own factory, Luxus, also located in Vittsjö. There are interior and exterior lamps, furniture and mirrors, all designed by the two brothers. Their collections were launched in Sweden and throughout Europe in 1950.

In 1968, Luxus presented a collection of lamps with bright-colored lampshades that perfectly reflected the minds of the 1960s.
