The back of this armchair has a petit point figure of a woman which is framed by regular needlework. The seat has a central cartouche depicting birds and trees which are done by petit point. There is some deterioration in the petitpoint seat commensurate with use and age. The arms are partially upholstered with velvet which also has some wear. The crestrail, knees, and apron are carved with stylized scallop shells and leaves. The rear side of the back has had the fabric replaced.
