Pair of cornelius and baker 2-arm, gilt bronze brass sconces depicting a patinated bust of Sir Walter Raleigh. The sconce arms feature spears entwined with foliage and terminate with spun brass candle cups. Each arm was originally illuminated with an unusual, figural gas key and retains its period pressed glass bobesches and opaline candles leaves (these can be retained or removed during electrification). The main sconce body with bust in surmounted with a large crown and bunched fruit below. Original surfaces and gas configuration. Custom wiring inclusive. $9500 a pair.
