Vintage Design
Imagined by aircraft designer Morgan McLeod and manufactured in England in the 1950s, it was the first to be mass-produced in aluminum.
This emblematic example of British design was made by The Strand Lighting Company in their Covent Garden workshops in London’s West End.
A rare model that has been restored to give it a second life.
The head has been stripped and polished to restore the shine of the chromed metal.
The 500-watt lamp and bayonet have been removed and replaced by an ordinary screw-in bayonet that takes ordinary household bulbs or energy savers.
New black vintage woven cotton wiring was also installed with a grounded on/off switch.
A wonderful piece of British theater history in your home or office.
