A beautiful antique American Victorian era stepback dresser, circa 1870s. Made from poplar and walnut with three hand dovetailed standard drawers below two upper glovebox drawers. Features crotch walnut veneer along drawer fronts, hand carved fruit and nut pulls and raised key escutcheons. The edges of the chest are chamfered and accented by quarter cut spindles. The dresser is supported by straight legs and has a serpentine apron.
