A large and versatile 19th Century Victorian lightly veined Carrara marble fireplace surround. A generous top shelf rests above a stepped frieze with a high relief central flower. Flanked by, sturdy jambs each displaying a well carved corbel with under shells and top capping. The stepped sides leading to generous return sections, all resting on moulded foot blocks.
Shown with a period cast iron insert, not included, but available separately.
Fire opening size as shown in photos: 965mm high x 965mm wide.
The opening width on this piece can extend to 1100mm.
