19th Century French Louis XIV Wrought Iron Bombe Balcony Railing is a stunning work of the metal sculptor’s art! Hand-forged during the heyday of the Napoleon III Period, it features a bold bombe form contouring out in two dimensions for amazing visual appeal from any angle. Designed more to decorate an exterior than to provide a protective railing, it was artistically fashioned from red-hot iron by an obvious master at his craft, who also was capable of sheer artistry in iron. A wide variety of scrolls appear majestically across the facade, wrapping from wall to wall in the complex bombe form, centered with a crest style motif with plaquard. Some of the work even resembles musical notations and a stylized lyre. Ready to beautify your home for another century or two!
