French Two Handle Porcelain Tray

French two handle porcelain tray, the rim is gilt with a scallop design; the handles on each end are shaped for holding easily, gilt and ”ribbed” and with a scroll and volute motif. The main body features an oval pink center surrounded by a series of pink, gray and gold flowers and foliate, accented around the perimeter with butterflies. This beautiful tray is in good condition with only minor gilding loss.

English Minton Pottery Platter

English Staffordshire platter, the rim has stylized flowers on a light blue background; the border features whimsical figures ( scrolls, flowers, etc) , this is followed by the slanted inner edge with flowers and arabesques on a salmon colored background. The main body of the platter has a oriental baluster urn as the central focus, surrounded by stylized flowers, scrolls , acorn and other figures. . The back is plain white with the exception of the mark ”Woodseat” and the impressed mark ” Minton BB” (which stands for best body)

Large English Ironstone Platter

Large English ironstone platter, the outer rim and inner border have a black leaf pattern on a salmon colored background, the main border has alternating motifs in rose, teal and orange interrupted with four cartouches featuring an oriental vase and goblet interspersed with foliage. The central focus on a white background are three children in a triangle standing on a plinth with raised arms holding a planter with berries and foliage; on one side of them is a large ewer (notice the figure in the handle) with arabesque and foliage decoration, on the other side is a Greek urn with figures on the side and foliage extending from it. All three features are on a flat teal surface. On the back rim is an English registration mark which indicates the exact day it was made, September 14, 1868. This mark also reads “VASE” and the letters T.G.B. There is an impressed mark on the back “IRONSTONE T.G.B” and a separate impressed mark ”20”. This platter is in very good condition.
