English brass footman was used beside the fireplace for the hot kettle. It could also serve as a seat for a small child. The top has an open design, the edge turning down with scalloped shape and circles. The front apron and sides have an open, reticulated design; front brass legs with slight cabriole shape terminating with ”penny” feet. The back legs are steel and have connecting stretcher for support.
