Victorian needlework genre scene in original pine frame, the scene has a host of characters- the hunter with his rifle and dog, the distressed man, the mother with baby and daughter and the pack mule. It appears that the hunter has shot a bird and the man in the middle is upset, the mother is looking on with daughter and baby in her arms; pack mule is off to the side. There is an old partial paper label on the back , William Talbott of Bury England, fine arts dealer.
