A fine antique Minton porcelain blanc de chine centrepiece with a young maiden with a basket dating from around 1862. The centrepiece stands on an oval shaped base and comprises of a young girl kneeling next to a basket. She is well modelled wearing a short sleeve dress and bonnet and holds her right hand aloft. Her hand is open to facilitate it holding something and our client has advised that the basket would have been filled with flowers and that she would hold one flower aloft. The centrepiece is decorated in white glazes and is impressed MINTON to the base.
