Vintage Design
Striking table lamp by Gunnar Nylund, made in chamotte stoneware in Nylund’s “Hedgehog” model. The clean form contrasts with the craggy surface. Vibrant green glaze. The model was introduced around 1937 and became a great success. It was made with clay mixed with discarded shards of stoneware from Rörstrand’s furnaces. Nylund himself described it like this: “It is like an aspect of nature is reflected in this rugged, mystical surface”.
