This ivory and black two tone carpet is boldly abstract with a powerful fret medallion (and matching corners) on an unornamented ivory ground, encompassed by a giant T-fret border. This rug was Art Deco before Deco. This circa 1900 northeastern Chinese carpet is chicer than chic, totally stylish, entirely contemporary in taste. The overall condition is good and the plain field has no distracting repairs. Measures: 10’6″ x 11’0″.
