An unusual English Mid 19th century fire grate in the earlier Georgian manner. The tall shaped original fireback decorated with a classical female figure medallion with beaded edge. The tapering front pedestal legs with engraved fronts and surmounted by tall steeple finials, flanking a beaded serpentine pierced brass fret. The full and edged spandrels also engraved. Polished steel bar burning area also with conforming steeple finials. A very good quality mid 19th century antique English fire grate circa 1860
