An attractive and well made piece, very decorative, ideally suited as an occasional chair.
The backrest is quite a tour de force in carving, its beautifully sculpted and such a warm and welcoming feeling. I think its Ebenezer Scrooge as one chap is in his night cloths and the other looks to be either drunk or a beggar perhaps, I can’t say for sure but it certainly has a Christmas Carol feel to it
The legs are Victorian Bobbin turned, very highly desirable and highly collectable on any seating
We have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom
